Salla Hakanpää is a versatile artist and performer.
Without forgetting her background in contemporary circus and aerial acrobatics, over the past few years Salla has been engaging in water and diving as a growing part of her career as an artist.
Graduating at Turku Arts Academy in 2010, Salla became one of the five founding members of the Finnish contemporary circus group Zero Gravity Company, whose member she was until 2021, and co-operated with WHS, one of the pioneers of contemporary circus and visual theatre in Finland. Salla has
studied freediving, singing, dramaturgy and new magic, among other things, to broaden her range of artistic thinking and practice.
In addition to performing on stage and film herself, Salla enjoys working as an aerial and underwater instructor and stunt performer. Salla is a certified freediving instructor and has, in recent years, educated various actors and other performers in the art and safety of underwater performance.
